American Automatic Control Council
General Information
The American Automatic Control Council (AACC) is an association of the control systems divisions of eight member societies:
  1. American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) (See also AIAA Guidance Navigation and Control Technical Committee, this committee's members are most active in AACC activities),
  2. American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE),
  3. Association of Iron and Steel Engineers (AISE),
  4. American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE),
  5. American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) (See also ASME Dynamic System and Control Division, this committee's members are most active in AACC activities),
  6. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) (See also IEEE Control Systems Society, this society's members are most active in AACC activities),
  7. Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society (ISA), and the
  8. Society for Computer Simulation (SCS).

The AACC is the US National Member Organization of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC).

The main technical activities of the AACC is to sponsor, organize and run the annual "American Control Conference" (ACC). The ACC is usually held during the month of June.

The AACC publishes a semiannual Newsletter - please contact address below for further information about advertisement and subscription. The subscription to the newsletter is free.
